It's often really noisy in the studio, I'm usually banging, grinding, hammering away at metal to make it into shapes that get assembled into the finished pieces.
Today I'm working on a fireplace toolset with stand, it's made up of 4 individual pieces : a fork, rake, poker and stand. It's created using various methods of banging metal about, including traditional forge work (blacksmithing), plasma cutting, arc welding and grinding / cutting. There's lots of dust, smoke and sparks from the charcoal being burned to create the fire in the forge and the grinding and cutting of the metal. No-one hangs around visiting in the workshop while production is going on.
