I'm really happy that I got a couple of orders this week for my handmade marri leaves.  These are going into shops for retail sale, one an online store and the other a regular bricks and mortar shop.

One of the orders wanted curly ones and the other not-so-curly.  Throughout the day I worked on streamlining the process trying to aim at consistency and efficiency.  Part of that was making several pieces in stages, rather than going from start to finish on individual items.  It helped with refining the form because I could concentrate more on the several aspects of each rather than the entirety.  Although I like and expect each piece to have it's individual shape and form, I still want to aim at a consistency so that it meets the expectation of the customer.  End result is a really nice collection of leaves, all slightly different -- that's what you'd expect in nature.
