Our most recent casket style jewellery box
We've had a couple of orders recently for our casket style jewellery box. It's been a while since I've made one, I had to wrack the old brain-cells to remember the best way to build this because it has a few tricky elements. Quite a bit of hammering is needed for the finish — too much hammering can make the lid lose it's domed shape. Care is needed so that the lid closes and sits flat on the 'box' below and that the box sits squarely and flat on the surface. The hinges and latches (where used) are always evolving and getting better and better in their design. We have 2 sizes for our casket jewellery boxes, they come with a quality handmade lining using soft acrylic satin in a wide range of colours to suit everyone.
